Our mission is jointly one of environmental education, biodiversity, and beautification. In addition to the 2,000 square foot garden nestled in quaint Old Wethersfield, our organization seeks to promote accessible educational experiences through nature-based learning. Every spring, Laura’s Garden donates butterfly-growing kits to local schools to foster this exploration, while introducing new pollinators to our community. Through authentic, hands-on learning opportunities, students learn about the importance of pollinator preservation. Laura’s Garden is a designated spot on the Pollinator Pathway, which means it is an effective corridor of native plants that provide nutrition and habitat for pollinating insects and birds.
